4 RS Aeros joined the 32 boat mixed class fleet at Notts County SC's New Years Day race,
for two races in a great breeze.

Congratulations to all who competed! Whilst there was no cigar overall for the RS Aeros this time as the trapeze boats took the top podium spots with Jamie Mawson's RS600 1st overall, there was still plenty of RS Aero successes to report on. Joe Scurrah (RS Aero 7) finished first single-hander in 6th, past winner Sam Mettam (RS Aero 6) was close behind in 8th and Rebecca Ogden (RS Aero 6) achieved top female in 15th. Top junior crew was our keen RS Aero sailor Hayden Moore, crewing a Fireball for Cillian Dyne on this occasion.

Notts County SC First of the Year Race - Thurs 1st Jan

Notts County Sailing Club has an annual First of the Year race, a well known tradition going back decades. Sam Mettam won the day for the RS Aeros in 2023 in his RS Aero 6, can the RS Aeros win it again this year?
