Draycote Dash (SailJuice) - Draycote WSC, Midlands, 22/23 Nov

Draycote Water SC hosted the first leg of this winter's Selden SailJuice Winter Series and it was great to see 11 RS Aeros within the overall fleet of 93 mixed Class dinghies.

Four timed handicaps races on Saturday in breeze and some precipitation were followed by a non-discardable mass Pursuit Race in a lighter breeze and welcome blue skies on the Sunday.

Congratulations to Joe Scurrah in his RS Aero 7 in taking 8th place, pulling up the rankings with his 7th in the Pursuit Race. Top RS Aero 5 was Antony Clay in 29th and top RS Aero 6 was Hayden Moore in 41st. Sian Clark was top RS Aero female in 60th.
The event winners were Thomas GILLARD & Rach GRAY in their Merlin Rocket.

Next up in the SailJuice series is the Datchet Flyer at Datchet SC, West London on 6/7 Dec followed by the Polar Chase at Chase SC, Midlands on Sat 13 Dec.

Selden SailJuice Winter Series

LAST CALL - for the Draycote Dash, the first of this season's Seldon SailJuice Winter Series. Entry closes Tuesday night.

For keen racers and aspiring young sailors the SailJuice Series is invaluable, providing the focus of a year round calendar with big fleet race experience.

Online Entry, Entry List & NoR (entry closes Tue 18th Nov)

Entry fee: £45 (DWSC members £25, Junior members £20)

Briefing: Online
Registration: 08:00-10:30 in the Clubhouse

First Start: 11:00 Saturday, 11:00 Sunday
Format: 4 handicap races Saturday & 1 pursuit race Sunday

These winter events are popular and do get booked up in advance so get your entries in now!

- The handicap fleets are split, so we will be on a start line with similar speed boats

- Average lap racing is used, minimising waiting time in between races
