North Devon YC Wrecker - Instow, Devon, UK, 2nd Nov
Great to see five RS Aeros turnout for the first leg of this season's Sailing Southwest Winter Series, the North Devon Wrecker at Instow. North Devon YC gifted FREE ENTRY to all early entries, re-boosting numbers at this event up to 37 mixed class boats this year which created a buzz of activity both on the water and ashore
A fresh breeze on the Taw-Torridge estuary provided an exciting day's sailing on the flood tide and over the banks, with all the fun of the chase of the pursuit race.
With the breeze up the local Cats dominated the day taking the top four spots. Top RS Aero was Peter Barton (Lymington Town SC) in 9th in an RS Aero 6. First RS Aero 5 was George Lenney (Restronguet SC) in 17th, with the RS Aero 7 of Stuart Turner (Clevedon SC) in 20th.
