Czech RS Aero Championship at the 725m Nad Veci - Cerna v Posumavi, Lipno, Czech Republic, 10-12 Oct
Report by Jiri Kuthan; The Czech RS Aero National Championship was held alongside the RS700 and 49er tour - on the start line there were a record 28 RS Aeros, with 13 RS 700s and 9 49ers. The 28 RS Aeros represented five countries - Czech, German, Estonian, Italian and Slovakia. All four RS Aero Classes raced together with the results based on corrected times between the different rig sizes.
More important than numbers: we had several days of great sport and camaraderie, sharing campfires, good food and excellent racing at Lake Lipno, 725m above the sea.
Racing was intense with Liina Kolk (EST) taking the overall podium with 4 race wins from the 7 races, with Eric Rieve (GER) in 2nd.. Top Czech for the Czech title was Daniel Guryca (CZE) in 3rd.
Thank you all who came to join this great event. Come again, in 2026 we will have two RS Aero/RS700/49er events, the WindyPoint event 12-14 June and the 725m event again 10-12 October. Congratulations to the winners and many thanks to all the volunteers!

Four more races today with Liina Kolk of Estonia taking the lead after three race wins! There are four different countries represented in the top five and with the testing winds of Lake Lipno all is still to play for on the final day!
Tonight the sailors share campfires and fine food!
Czech & Slovak RS Aero report; "Today, perhaps the most numerous entry ever for the Czech Championship in the RS Aero Class began in Lipno.Autumn temperatures at 725m above sea level and a waning wind around 5 m/s tested the determination of all competitors on the first day, including a number of foreign participants from Estonia, Germany, Italy, Itreland and Slovakia. Exciting duels and balanced competition have shown during today's 3 matches that this year's Championship will be even more interesting. After the end of the race day, the traditional dinner and award ceremony were enjoyed by all. After Day 1, 1st is Ants Haavel (EST), 2nd is held by Dan Guryca (CZE) and at 3rd place (and also 1st woman) is Liina Kolk (EST).
If you hesitated this year and did not make it, next time be sure to pull your RS Aero out of the garag and join us. It's so worth it!"

The Czech RS Aero Championship will be held at the end of the season, 725m above sea level at Lake Lipno with good breezes & beautiful scenery, alongside the RS700s and 49ers. Already 34 RS Aeros are signed up representing 6 countries; Czeck Republic, Estonis, Germany, Irland, Italy and Slovakia.
