o “Check, Clean, Dry” For biosecurity if you are coming from fresh water and your boat is not dry, please wash your boat down before you come, or use the pressure washers on the left-hand side of the car park. Please repeat this when you leave to prevent invasive species travelling to your home fresh water or dry the boat thoroughly (this is a Thames Water request).

o Unloading your boat: As large numbers are expected and space at reservoir level is very limited, please prepare in the car park and pull your boat on its trolley manually up the ramp from the car park, forking left at the top of the ramp, along the lake side of the clubhouse, unless directed otherwise. Roadways and footpaths around the reservoir must be kept clear at all times to allow unrestricted movement around the site.

o Boats Arriving Friday Evening: Trailers may be left in the car park overnight on either day at the owner’s risk. No camping or campervans on site, but https://www.valleyfarmcampsite.com/ is round the corner. Gates will be locked at dusk and open at 08:00.

*OSC have since confirmed that the Thames Water website states the car park is locked at 7.30pm during October. 

o Beach: Please observe the instructions of the beach crew and wait for access if asked to do so. Look for details on the Official Noticeboard as the beach plan will depend on water level and number of entries.

On Site

o The Waterside Café is open all day for hot food and drinks. Pre-ordering hot dishes will save you time later – order forms will be available. The bar will be open to members and event competitors after the race. Alcohol may only be served to members and their guests.

o Dogs are permitted only at car park level – do not bring them up the ramp to the reservoir. There is a long countryside walk around the reservoir perimeter starting in the SE corner (signposted).

o Thames Water prohibits the use of drones at the reservoir.
