Chichester Harbour Race Week - Hayling Island SC, UK, 11-15 Aug 2025

An amazing turnout of 56 RS Aeros signed up for Chichester Harbour Race Week. The RS Aero 5s, 6s and 7s class raced in their own fleets whilst the RS Aero 9s joined the mixed class PY fleet. The RS Aero 5s were the largest fleet with 25 entered - and the fleet was 100% female due to the keen female RS Aero sailors at Hayling Island Sailing Club and other female visitors pleased to join such a great turnout.

Four races were held, one per day as scheduled but with racing lost on the Wednesday after a fickle light breeze was followed by thunder. As ever, the social side at HISC was a major feature of the enjoyment and success of the regatta week, with lively after racing bars and entertainment, with the wonderful setting overlooking the beaches and harbour.

Great to see 51 RS Aeros entered for Chichester Harbour Race Week!

The largest RS Aero fleet is the RS Aeros 5s with 23 - and the fleet is 100% females, due to the number of keen RS Aero sailing females at Hayling!

Racing is Monday to Friday with one race planned around the harbour marks each day. It is possible to enter on a daily basis, so it is not to late to come and join the fun at this super chilled out and sociable event!

Chichester Harbour RW is one of the biggest and best dinghy regattas on the UK’s South Coast. Importantly, it is not a championship, it is a regatta, with quality racing in a relaxed atmosphere in the tidal yet sheltered waters of the harbour. Competitors can enjoy the bands, parties and sandy beaches, then sit back and relax on Hayling Island SC’s balcony.

35 RS Aeros are already entered so far across the RS Aero Classes.
18 of those are in the RS Aero 5 fleet and 100% of them are women due to the number of keen RS Aero females at Hayling!

Chichester Harbour RW is one of the biggest and best dinghy regattas on the UK’s South Coast. The large RS Aero fleet at HISC ensures a good turnout of 50+ RS Aeros each year.

Either sign up for the 5 day, 5 race, series or it is possible to enter per day if you are unable to make the whole week.
