King George Gallop - King George SC, North London, UK, Saturday 18th January
Congratulations to Ben Flower who ghosted his RS Aero 9 to 2nd place in the fleet of 45 mixed class entries at the King George Gallop pursuit race in north London in very light winds.
Just one race was possible and as the wind died the fleet timed out after the Norfolk Punt completed a shortened course of 2 laps. The RO retrospectively used the times of just the first lap for the results. This gave the Norfolk Punt the 1st place and Ben just 1 second behind on corrected time in his RS Aero 9, with another occasional RS Aero sailor Nick Craig in 3rd place racing his Finn this time.
Next up in the Selden Sailjuice Winter Series is the Tiger Trophy at Rutland on 1/2nd Feb followed by the Oxford Blue on Sat 15th Feb which doubles as the RS Aero UK Winter Champs.Reply 20/01/2025 23:05:00

Selden SailJuice Winter Series
The King George Gallop provides an exciting day's racing within the large mixed class fleet. 3 back to back races gives a fantastic amount of racing squeezed into one big day.
For keen racers and aspiring young sailors the SailJuice Series is invaluable, providing the focus of a year round calendar with big fleet race experience.
