Day 1
As the afternoon start time approached the westerly breeze came in at over 20 knots with blue skies, producing some exciting racing and wild rides downwind!
It was like a straight continuation of the 5 consecutive windy days we had at the 2017 RS Aero World Championship here, but even more exciting!

The 5th RS Aero European Championships are set for Carnac, France and will celebrate the Class' 10th birthday!
Carnac is situated on Quiberon Bay where we had a wonderful first RS Aero World Championship in 2017. It will be fantastic to revisit France's Atlantic coast and YC Carnac at one of France's most cherished seaside towns. Great coastal racing, a fantastic beach, fine dining, lively bars and a lovely French beach town!
The late June date fits with our other main events in 2024 and will hopefully enable Youth who have finished exams to join. The Fri-Mon schedule will assist Brits with supported Brittany Ferries crossings by avoiding peak rates.
Racing is scheduled to start late on Friday and finish early on Monday, enabling overnight ferries and minimising the holiday days required for those that need to.

The RS Aeros will share Carnac with the RS100, RS200 and RS700 fleets for their Eurocup, whilst the RS400 and RS800 fleets are down the coast at Larmor Plage over the same dates. Having a few other RS Classes there will all add to the fun!
