Dun Laoghaire Frostbites - Dubin, Ireland, 2022-23
The last Sunday of the Frostbites, hosted by Dun Laoghaire Motor Yacht Club and sponsored by Viking Marine ended on a high with steady winds getting as high as 16/17 knots out of the north that allowed two races to be sailed.
Congratulations to Noel Butler (RS Aero 6) who closed out the PY fleet winter series 2022-23 to win overall from Stephen Oram (RS Aero 7) 2nd and Roy Van Maanen (RS Aero 6) 3rd. Top Lady was Sarah Dwyer (RS Aero 6) in 4th. The RS Aeros took the first five places overall from the fleet of 37 mixed class dinghies.

Wonderful to see a good RS Aero presence at the Dun Laoghaire Frostbite series as the Irish RS Aeros build form towards this year's World Championship in Sardinia where they will field a strong team with seven Irish sailors taking part.
The RS Aero fleet in Ireland has really embraced the new RS Aero 6 rig with RS Aero 6s & 7s represented this winter at Dun Laoghaire. The PY fleet appears to be a goliath 'cat and mouse' battle with the speedy Fireballs trying to pull out enough time ahead of the RS Aeros by the end of the race to get the corrected time win.
The 2nd series concludes on Sunday 26th March.
