Northampton Sailing Club's Steve Nicholson Trophy is raced in aid of the Asthma & Lung UK charity in memory of Steve, who was a popular sailor and member at Northampton Sailing Club. Headline sponsor is Pinnell & Bax

The event has been held on an annual basis since 2002 with fleets split into single and double handers for two mixed class handipap races. This provides a good challenge and excellent practice for the season ahead with the split fleet providing a good fleet of predominantly similar boats
