Notts County SC First of the Year Race - Nottinghamshire, 1st Jan, UK
The annual First of the Year race at Notts County Sailing Club had well over forty mixed class entries from all over the UK's Midlands. The entry was a donation to Young lives vs Cancer charity and over £350 was raised on the day. A good breeze and mild temperatures provided some great racing over the two handical races.
Congratulations to Sam Mettam (Papercourt SC) in his RS Aero 6 on winning the event overall with a 2,1 from the two races to edge out the Fireball on a tie break.
