Reflecting on the turnout of 31 Italian RS Aero sailors off the coast of Rome last weekend it was an incredible achievement and testament to the growth of the RS Aero Italia Class over the past year. They have gone from small beginnings just a year ago to having a well supported series of events spread over the country, already comparable to any nation outside the UK.
Full credit goes to the supporters, coordinators, passionate fleet builders and of course the new sailors who are embracing the RS Aero there. For 2021 a nine event National Circuit tours the country's wonderful venues, both on their coasts and at their mountain lakes. We can look forward to further growth in Italy with the Italian sailors featuring at our international events and the fabulous opportunity for visitors to join the Italian fleet at their splendid venues in the future, combining good racing with an enjoyable vacation too.
