Hi Tom, 
I have seen some other Aero dagger boards and rudder blades with similar concavities, also 3+ years old. 
I believe this may be a manufacturing fault, so I suggest you reach out to RS about this. I had one in Australia and it was replaced.

I have been tidying my 3 year-old daggerboard when I noticed a number of depressions in the surface - see photos.
I can see from the damaged trailing edge that the board structure is a black composite(?) core and a white skin.
I can't understand what has given way to allow the skin to warp so.
