Main sheet traveler repair

Hi Tobias,
Sorry to hear that.

I recommend you contact RS Customer Service for advice; [email protected]

You could try;
Dry holes (rinse, then acetone),
Turn the boat upside down and use a syringe to inject thick epoxy paste to make a mound inside the hull behind the screw hole to screw into.
Fill holes with the paste.
Drill the new holes after epoxy sets,
Wet new screws and holes with epoxy resin, screw new screws in. Use longer screws.

Good morning, looking for some advice on how to reattach the eyelet on the starbord side of the mainsheet  traveller? The screws that hold it to the deck pulled out on Sunday while racing, ive tried twice now to repair now filling the holes with epoxy but both times the fittings have just pulled through again, has anyone else had to do this repair, i had a suggetion from fellow club member and Aero sailor to use the expanding screw use for attaching things to plaster board but im a bit reluctant to add these as fear it could cause other issues? Any advice would be greatly apreciated. Best Toby
