Welcome to the International Class Association website for the RS Aero. Here you will find all there is to know about the RS Aero including the latest news, how to register your boat, and links to relevant documents.
Here is the use of the truck extender which allow me to lift only half the Aero weight. The Aero is supported 4 places on the rack and a round swimming foam noodle in the car is used as a roller for protection and loading. Eight feet is supported and 5 feet hangs over the extender with the Aero strapped in 2 places. The kayak dolly stays attached when transporting. This works great for my 1.5 mile back road drive to a launch site on the local lake.Reply 20/11/2024 17:23:00

Hi Winnesail,
I managed to measue this for you last night. It was a little awkward as I had my RS Aero on the car roof!
The RS Aero beam is 1.02 meters (40 inches) at a distance 1.50 metres (59 inches) back from the bow.
I hope this helps and you are able to make it work for you,

Thinking about buying an Aero, but would like to know if I can transport it 2 kilometers like I carry 14 and 16 foot kayaks. Both stick way outside our SUV on a truck extender, but for a short haul on back roads it does not matter, and hardly any lifting is needed. I would appreciate if someone would measure the distance from the bow to a point where the beam is 1.02 meters (40 inches).Reply 18/05/2024 18:51:00
