Hello David,
if that is the case then the RS Aero parts store is selling non-legal letters as when I bought some recently for the Europeans I was supplied with non-digital. That was disappointing in itself, as I agree that digital looks much better, but will be doubly disappointing if it turns out that they are not class legal. I would say that more people have non-digital letters than digital.

Hi Ricky
Sorry but this is not legal.
The numbers must be digital style, namely the same style as supplied by RS (but acn be obtained ewlsewhere). The national letters must also be of the same style. See the Rigging Mannual.
Thsi keeps the sails looking neat and the same, rather than a messy mish mash of number styles
Happy sailing

I attached a picture of the Euro sail numbers. They are the same as the Laser / ILCA sail numbers. Reply 28/09/2021 01:13:00

I doubt that will be legal but what do 'Euro sail numbers' look like?Reply 28/09/2021 00:50:00

I see many people have digital sail numbers and Euro sail letters for the country code. Am I allowed to replace the digital sail numbers with Euro sail numbers as long as the numbers are class size?Reply 27/09/2021 19:35:00
