Keeping dagger board elastic out of the way

Great idea - tried it today and it worked a treat!

I use an extra long elastic which I take back round under the toe strap and back forwards to the plate. Never gets in the way.

Hi Phil,

I don't use the daggerboard shockcord at all. Instead, try tying the vang tail to the daggerboard. This meets the letter of class rules (requiring the daggerboard to be secured to the boat with a line), and has the added benefit of keeping the vang tail close no matter what tack one is on.

Hi, I'd be interested in everyone's observations/experience around one of the amendments below : C.6.1.3 (t) allowance of small rope loop on traveller retainer to deflect dagggerboad shockcord (avoids it getting in the way of the vang cleat) I've had a few 'experiences' where the dagger board elastic has got caught up with the vang and so would appreciate any advice or pictures of what others have done that fits with this rule tweak. Thanks in advance Phil
