RS logo in anti slip

David,

Thanks again. Now I understand why I couldn't find an explicit mention of the embossed logo in th CR.

The name on the stern wasn't my question, but good to know.

Hi Peter
The re-griping is permitted as Maintenance (see the defintion).  The CRs do not permit any changes to what is suplied other than as specified in the CRs.  These are "Closed Rules".  Likewise, you cannot remove the RS logo from the stern.  There should be room to put the boat name without removing the RS logo.

Happy sailing

David,
As a side question; I like to put the name on all of my boats on the stern.  Is it permissable to removed the "RS Aero" decal on the stern and replace it with a decal of my boat name?
Thanks,
Scott Jenson

David, thank you for the clarification.

Fur completeness, please will you point me to the section in the Class Rules.

Many thanks, Peter.

Hi Peter

I hope that you are well.
The Class Rules would premit reinstatement of the antislip provided that it is the same type and location as on the original boat.  You cannot cover any larger area.  You cannot cover the RS logo.  You should mask this off before reinstating the grip

Happy sailing

I’m about to reinstate the anti slip on the side decks and floor of my boat as, after 10 years, they are now too smooth!!

There is an RS logo in silhouette embossed under the toe strap. I thought the class rules required it to be preserved. However, I’ve been scouring them and can’t find the section. Perhaps it’s been removed on the basis that it’s almost impossible to redo the anti slip and preserve it.

What is the definitive situation? Thanks.
