Launch through a narrow channel

Yeah, it is an option, but it would mean to every time carry the boat all the way around the port. I think I'm going to carry the boat through the channel and set the sail afterwards, see if that works.

How about launching from the grass on the left of the channel in the picture direct onto the lake.

Hello everyone, and thank you for welcoming me to the forum!

I have just received my new RS Aero 7 and will be trying it out for the first time soon. I have some concerns about launching it. The problem is that the boat has to be guided through a narrow channel in order to get onto the lake (see picture).

My concern is that in stronger winds, the boom and sail could be pressed against the channel wall and get damaged. Does anyone have any tips on how to get the boat safely through the channel, even in strong wind?

Greetings from the Bad Zwischenahner Meer,
Dave
