Overdeck Control Line Colours

Yes, the cleat closer to the bow and the opposite of the instructions.

When you say front, do you mean the cleat closest to the bow?
This would mean the inverse of the instructions from Rooster?
Apologies keen to double check :)
Many thanks
Tim

Tim,
you can have whatever colour you want. It is helpful to have the cunningham and outhaul different colours. I also recommend you have the cunningham in the front cleats, a tip I learned from Marc Jacobi. You are adjusting the cunningham often and it is easier in the front cleats.

Hi all,
I have recently purchased a used Aero and inherited a Rooster Overdeck Control Line kit.
The is my first Aero and I have not sailed for 20+ years, exciting times!

The query is about the kit.
Its complete, however I am a bit confused by the contents, it containts x2 Grey Ronstan Shocks and Grey Control Line.
However when I look at the kit on RSSailing I can see x2 Red Ronstan Shocks and a Red Control Line.
Is this because the kit I have is a bit old and the colour scheme has evolved.

With little knowledge I am tempted to get Red Shocks and Red Line (not sure if this is Class Legal, I have no checked the Rules).
The motivation is the colour differentiation, for me it will be stronger and I suspect might help me when I need to think fast.
I am keen to get the kit installed prior to ramping up my sailing time so I familiarise myself with the colours.

Any advice would be much welcome.

Cheers
Tim
