World Sailing Approve International Class status for the RS21🌎
Congratulations to the RS Aero's younger big sister the RS21 in achieving World Sailing International Class status, fulfilling the criteria in near record time over a challenging period.
How might that interest our RS Aero sailing?
The RS Aero Class already enjoy sharing events with other Classes when appropriate. We often share with the RS Tera and RS Feva junior classes, enabling family groups to all get afloat. Sharing with RS Classes like the RS200/400/500/800 etc. provides diversity and extra interest within the RS Sailing family of Classes.
Most of us enjoy joining mixed class regattas as an opportunity to meet old friends from other classes and the interest of a colourful array of various classes pitting it out on PY. This year at Lago Maggiore we shared with the O'Pen Skiffs, at Lee-on-Solent the Phantoms, Eastbourne with Scorpions and worldwide we frequently share events with Lasers. It all adds interest and strength to our events when appropriate, whilst spreading awareness of the RS Aero Class.
The RS21 Class already has exciting circuits set up in several countries at some absolutely fantastic locations and key regattas. Is there scope to share RS Aero and RS21 events, for collaboration and mutual benefit? Discuss...
