Welcome to the International Class Association website for the RS Aero. Here you will find all there is to know about the RS Aero including the latest news, how to register your boat, and links to relevant documents.
Hi Gareth, there are also other sailors in the fleet looking to get their boats out there, so if you are going to tow, you may consider offering to take a double or triple stacker if somebody that needs their boat taken out can arrange, you may get one of the roof too. You can then also split the cost as well as making new friends! You will need to have a letter showing permission to take the boats (detailed on a document called a Duplicate List) along with proof of personal ownership (insurance) - basically docs to prove you are taking the boats there and back for an event (photo loading on the ferry is good). I have been doing this a lot lately so let me know if you need advice here.Reply 18/03/2025 07:28:00

Gareth ,
we have a trailer but now use a Kari-tek roof rack system. There are many benefits like the bespoke Aero brackets which hold the launch trolley in place on the roof but also it saves a fortune on ferry prices as the height extra payment is far cheaper than the trailer cost . We did Sweden last year 3000 miles and still over 40 mph but no trailer parking issues and saved over £600 on ferries ! Speak to Gaynor or Adam at Kari-tek . Why drag when you can carry ?Reply 17/03/2025 08:54:00
