THREE LAKES CHALLENGE - Yodare 2024 Aero-dventure
So we are all packed and awaiting a final decision on the weather. The forecasts always vary, and after the last two days showing ideal conditions we are now looking at fog, rain and light winds for Monday 1st - not the best scenario! We remain on "Code Amber" - ready to drive North, but waiting and hoping. More info tomorrow.
Thanks for following the adventure and don't forget you can donate at wxw.yodare.co.uk, helping raise funds for Cancer Research UK and Oakhaven Hospice.

THREE LAKES CHALLENGE - Yodare 2024 Aero-dventure
After sailing Lands End to near John O'Groats in 2017 and then every island of England and Wales nobody really expected Ken Fowler to simply sit on a beach in 2024. Here is Ken's basic summary of his 2024 crazy mission, again raising funds for his two cancer charities Cancer Research and Oakhaven Hospice.

The new challenge features, as always, 'Yoda' the RS Aero, Ken's very small dinghy!

This Yodare adventure is a NON STOP adventure so there'll be two sailors. Ken will be joined by Peter Barton - World Champion RS Aero sailor. After so many 'solo' adventures Ken is looking forward to sharing the sailing experience.

The challenge is to become the first dinghy sailors to sail the length of the three longest lakes in Wales, England and Scotland non-stop. A nautical version of the "Three Peaks Challenge", attempting to sail return journeys along the length of Llyn Tegid (Wales), Lake Windermere (England) and Loch Awe (Scotland). That's over 130kms (80miles) of sailing with both sailors completing the full length of each loch/lake.
STAY TUNED!
More info on its way as launch CODE RED turns to CODE AMBER...!
