Two days of intense RS Aero racing in a lovely location!
The Bay Sailing Centre has a long history of hosting local dinghy sailing as well as major world, national and state championships.
Situated on the shores of Salamander Bay and sailed out of Soldiers Point a couple of hours North of Sydney, it faces east towards the majestic Port Stephens headlands and a body of water that is widely regarded as offering one of the best sailboat racing tracks in Australia.

The four rig sizes are raced together and then the yardstick for each rig is applied to decide the overall results. Social events are particularly good for this event as there is a daily prize giving as well as the overall, which is all done out of the Cheeky Dog Bar and Bistro at Bannisters hotel next door to the race centre.
This is a 'must do' regatta for practice, if you are heading off to the worlds in France in July!

The Bay Sailing Centre at Soldiers Point is managed by the Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club.
Port Stephens is a natural harbour located a couple of hours drive north of Sydney. The club is located on the eastern shore of Soldiers Point overlooking Port Stephens, with a lovely sandy beach and grassy frontage. Sailing is on Salamander Bay with predominately north easterly to south easterly sea breezes.
