CHANGE OF VENUE for UK WINTER SQUAD TRAINING, 12/13th MARCH
The RS Tera Squads have moved their March training from Oxford to Hayling Island. This was to allow them another chance of training at a coastal venue. We have decided to follow suit and join them, moving our March date to HISC as well. Hopefully this will give a chance to have a great sail with waves and tide, at a great venue.
We now have 20 RS Aeros registered at HISC and hopefully some will join in, together with your usual RS Tera/Aero parents.
Our remaining training dates and venues are therefore;
23/24 January Draycote SC13/14 February Northampton SC
12/13 March Hayling Island SC

LYMINGTON TRAINING CANCELLED (but session ashore 10:00 Sat 5th)

Sadly we have taken the decision to cancel the RS Aero coaching this weekend.
- likelihood of being too windy both days
- low tide limiting options, committed once out on Solent- December temperatures
- several sailors traveling a long way
- several new sailors to RS Aeros
The travellers can all save their time and resource for another better opportunity that we hope might be more productive.
HOWEVER, whilst I have stood down our ability to go afloat, I do still plan to come to the club on Saturday morning to spend time ashore from 10:00am with a rigged up RS Aero (in the lee of the Club!) going through RS Aero specific tuning and techniques, and then inside for RS Aero Q&A/chin wag over a coffee.
So please do still come for a 10:00am kick off outside LTSC if that would be of help/interest.

UK YOUTH SQUAD - Winter trainingIt is that time of year again!
From an embryonic squad at QM in November 2014, with just 6 new RS Aeros, we grew through the Winter to mid teens with the addition of more youngsters, parents and locals at the venues we visited.
Three new venues are added to this year's Tour; Reading, Lymington and Draycote. After New Year we look forward to once again joining the RS Teras on their Squad weekends, enjoying the camaraderie between the two squads and allowing the Tera parents to join us, rather than being left high and dry on the shore!
21/22 Nov Reading SC (10am start - sails down, not changed)
5/6 Dec Lymington Town SC
23/24 Jan Draycote SC
13/14 Feb Northampton SC
12/13 Mar Hayling Island SC
- local RS Aero sailors
- RS Tera & RS Aero squad sailor’s parents
- all RS Aero 5 adults (as the squad will primarily, but not exclusively, be using RS Aero 5 rigs)
