RS Aero Italian Youth Championship - Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy, 13/15 Oct
Enrico Loi (Windsurfing Club Cagliari) and Davide Mulas (LNI Sulcis) win the Italian RS Aero Youth Championships in Cagliari, Under 17 (RS Aero 5) and Under 22 (RS Aero 6) categories, respectively.

A beautiful morning of Mistral, that in the first two RS Aero races blew with gusts up to 20 knots closed the Italian RS Aero Youth Championships in the best way possible, organized in an egregious manner by the Lega Navale di Cagliari, which hosted the competitors at Marina Piccola. Ten races total for both fleets the final balance under varying conditions, which allowed everyone to demonstrate their capabilities with both light and more sustained winds.

The final ranking was played until the last race and winning the title was sweated for a constant change of positions especially during the last day, which with the last four races, left the championship open until the end.

Italian title Under 17 RS Aero 5 went to Enrico Loi (Windsurfing Club Cagliari), who could no longer make a mistake considering the disqualification for an early start on Saturday; and so he did: Loi won with 5 points ahead of Gallurian Riccardo Serra (Olbia, YC Cala dei Sardi); 3rd Romagnolo Mattia Mountains (CN Rimini). Giacomo Zanzini (CN Rimini) descended to fourth place and Andrea Manconi (Windsurfing Club Cagliari) in fifth place. Chiara Sussarello was 1st among the girls.

The Italian title Under 22 RS Aero 6 went to the Lega Navale del Sulcis athlete Davide Mulas, who has extended by 6 points over the two pursuers of Yacht Club Cala dei Sardi, Francesco Columbano and Andrea De Matteis, silver and bronze respectively. Despite today’s excellent races of 1-3-2-1 Giacomo Gatta (today -CNSavio) did not manage to rise up in the general ranking and finished in fourth place, ahead of Elia Nonnis (LNI Sulcis).

New this year the title assigned to the Under 22 with the new RS Aero 6 m2 sail, just as the iridescent title will be recognized at next year's World Cup in Sweden. Congratulations to the FIV Regatta Committee and all the water staff of the Cagliari Naval League, who on the last day took advantage of all the wind possible, managing to compete 4 races.

Next, the RS Aero class makes an appointment at the end of the month always in Cagliari for the RS Aero European Youth Team Race Championships, which will be organized by the Naval League Sulcis section in collaboration with Canottieri Ichnusa. Expecting at least 8 mixed teams (with one boy and one girl in each team) from all over Europe.

Thanks to @leganavalecagliari for the hospitality and organization and congratulations to all the winners, their respective coaches and families!
