Spring comes early in Italy!
The new RS Aero racing season starts in Italy with the first RS Aero Italian National Regatta of 2023 being held over three days at Tognazzi Marine Village ASD on the Lido di Ostia coast, near Rome. Sailors from both the Italian mainland, Sardinia and international visitors have joined in their build up to the World Championships in Sardinia in under 5 months time!

Day 1
10 knots from southeast and a bit of wave (declining). Among the participants is also Irishman Roy Van Maanen and Italian registrants are representing Sardinia, Emilia Romagna, Campania and of course Lazio.
At the end of Day 1 leading in the RS Aero 7 category, in equal scores, Giulio Sirolli (Tognazzi Marine Village, 1-3-1) and Filippo Vincis (LNI Sulcis, 2-1-2). In the RS Aero 5 with two first and a second is at the command Francesca Ramazzotti (Veliamoci), while in the RS Aero 6, with two seconds and a first is Alice Sussarello (LNI Sulcis).

Day 2
Second fantastic day at the Ostia National Regatta hosted by the @tognazzimarinevillage . Four race initially with wind at 6/7 knots, up to about 16 in the fourth and final race of the day. Sunshine and mistral for a day to really frame! Only 1 point divides in RS Aero 7 Filippo Vincis (LNI Sulcis) from Giulio Sirolli (Tognazzi MV). In the RS Aero 6 category always ahead Alice Sussarello, as well as in the RS Aero 5 Francesca Ramazzotti is dominating (six first and one second).

Day 3
3 more races finished the 1st National Series RS Aero regatta in Ostia,. Guests of Tognazzi Marine Village had three fantastic days of sailing and friendship characterized by 10 races in all conditions, which opened the season in the best way. The top of the category didn’t change from Saturday with 🥇Filippo Vincis (LNI Sulcis) winning in the RS Aero 7, 🥇Alice Sussarello (LNI Sulcis ) in the RS Aero 6 and 🥇Francesca Ramazzotti (Veliamoci) in the RS Aero 5.
