Again it was a record turnout of RS Classes racing together in Japan and a good build on last year's inaurural event. A total of 39 RS boats entered including 18 RS Aeros, 7 RS Fevas, 4 RS Teras, 3 RS Zests, 2 RS Qubas, 2 RS Vareos, a RS500 and an RS700. To join the Hayama sailors visitors traveled from Zaimokuza, Kamakura and Shimizu. The sea gave a swell from the northeast to the north, and the wind went up from the average 5m/s to 10m/s for a fun and exciting regatta.
With scoring using corrected time ratings in the mixed RS fleet the RS Aero 5 of Yudai Okano took 1st place with a 2,1,1,1 score line from the RS Aero 7 of Hirotaka Kanera in 2nd and the RS500 of Shinichi Washiyama/Noriko Kakuta in 3rd.
