It was a cracking event - brilliant conditions over all three days (we had a training camp on the Friday afternoon).
Warm water and seabreezes, and just a few Christmas Cruises thrown in for good measure!
Great to have David Andrew (new Australian Class President) come up from Melbourne and some new faces from Georges River and the Northern Beaches of Sydney who will be joining us at the Worlds.
Personally I was pretty pleased with my event - a shaky first race where I clearly tried far too hard resulted in a quick trip to the hall of mirrors for a good long look at myself.
Subsequently very happy with my speed and tactics over the next couple of days. David sailed smart to take race 5 from me.
Brilliant having Marc there, imparting his seemingly endless wisdom - the net result of which was a much improved fleet by the last race which was sailed in a good 12-14 and with nine tenths of stuff all between us.
Great event too - really looking forward to being part of it again next year. Real world class race management and organisation.

Sail Sydney 2019 including the RS Aero NSW State Champs

This year the RS Aeros were at the Sail Sydney regatta for the first time!
Marc Jacobi was visiting from the USA in the run up to the 3rd RS Aero Worlds in Melbourne over New Year. You can check out his account of the racing on his BLOG.
