We had four boats in the top 1/3 of the fleet with Tom Penty beating Charlie Warhurst by just 1 second to be the third counting Aero7. Conditions didn't suit Karl Morley, but even so, he finished just in front of an ex Fireball Champion as well as a previous Sailjuice series winner so not a bad effort from the five Aero 7s we had out. Unfortunately, the Aero 5s struggled in the light winds and lack of clear air - next time guys.
Good luck to all the Aeros at the Grafham GP.

Congratulations to Keith Escritt and Ollie Kent both of Yorkshire Dales SC in coming 12th and 13th respectively in Yorkshire Dales SC's Brass Monkey in their RS Aero 7s from 97 entries.

LAST CALL - The RS Aero 7s have jumped up from 7th to 2nd Class after a good showing at the second leg of the series at Datchet. We have 4 RS Aero 7s signed up now and 3 RS Aero 5s for the Yorkshire Dale SC's Brass Monkey. Who is up for joining them? Best 3 Class finishers in each race count, so it would be awesome to get some extra support and have yourself a post Chrimbo fun day out too.
Just 14 spaces remain now before the 95 boat limit is reached.

*CALLING ALL NORTHERN RS AEROS!*
Last winter the RS Aeros 7s came very close finishing Top Class in the SailJuice Series, which was an incredible achievement for a 5 year old class. To step up and clinch the prize this year it is vital that we have three RS Aero 7s completing every race in the series, as the top three in every race score for the overall Class award. Provided we can do that the results will follow.
So treat yourself to a day out after Christmas at Yorkshire Dales on the 27th Dec, framed by the majestic backdrop of the moors. Two handicap races are planned, with a nice lunch break.
The fleets are split, so the RS Aeros will be on a start line with similar speed and type of boats. Average lap racing is used, minimising waiting time in between races. Entry Fee includes lunch, tea/coffee, hot punch and nibbles!
