POSTPONED - Both this weekend's SSWWS events in Cornwall are postponed by a week due to the gales. Unfortunately this clashes with our RS Aero UK End of Seasons at Draycote.

Sailing Southwest Winter Series

Who is coming to Porthpean (Sat) and/or Penzance (Sun) this weekend?

Saturday's  Porthpean Pursuit SI's are now posted here; https://www.sailingsw.co.uk/ssw-winter-series

Please let the organisers know if you are competing and want a meal or camping at Porthpean by pre-registering your entry for the series races here; https://www.sailingsw.co.uk/ssw-winter-series-entry

Sailing Southwest report that the forecast looks like it will bring 'some good wintery fun' to this weekend's racing in Cornwall, which sounds great, I think?!

Sailing Southwest Winter Series
2019/20, UK

The winter series in the UK's Southwest kicks off next weekend with a two event Cornish double bill at Porthpean and Penzance. It would be great to see a bubble of RS Aeros supporting the series and what better way to start!

The Series has expanded in recent years to now be 10 events with 5 to count and already has a great following in the Southwest. There are some fantastic southwest venues, excellent for winter weekends away, in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.

New for the series this year is the ability for multi rig Classes to use different rigs within their overall series. That is included in order to further improve overall participation. This is a benefit that we are familiar with in the RS Aero Class where travelling with a couple of rigs can ensure that you are prepared to participate safely and have max fun, whatever the wind might blow on the day.

Part of this  series will be included in the RS Aero UK Winter Series 2019/20, of which the first event is the RS Aero Bowmoor Bubble on the 30th November.

Further details of the Southwest Winter Series are here;
