Big Sunday - RS Aerocup, Barcelona
A trip down memory lane...
I was reminded of a big day out in RS Aeros when the final day of the Laser Worlds was unfortunately called off today due to the waves preventing boats leaving the harbour at Barcelona International Sailing Center.
It reminded me of the RS Aeros visit nearly excactly 6 years ago in 2015 for our first RS Aerocup when the Class was just one year old. Our racing also needed to be cancelled on the final day due to the large storm waves rolling into the harbour mouth.
An intrepid posse of six RS Aero sailors ventured out though, for the fun of checking out the RS Aero in the breeze and large rolling waves. They came home delighted with the RS Aero's performance and robust capabilities, with some incredible memories of the day and promises of an exciting future ahead.....
