Hi Steve, I put a query on via the customer support section on their website. It allows you to upload a photo and a description of the problem. You just register and then you can log in and check their reply or advice.

I have exactly the same issue with Aero 2808, ex demo boat from last year and never got round to doing anything about it. Who do we contact in RS to get a new jammer and rivets? Thanks Steve

RS have confirmed it is upside down and drilling out the rivets is the solution. They are sending me a replacement jammer and the right size of rivets. Just need to drill out the old ones and RS have confirmed that the tiller should not shatter. So easily fixed. RS were really helpful.

The jammer that hold it down is the one at the tiller extension end. The other one is just to tidy up the loose end of rope.

Hi, yes I am feeding it through the right way. Looks like I have one of the ones from the batch with the problem! Boat is 2811 and RS owned it’s as a demo boat then I bought from them in September

Issy, my second aero was sold to me new with this issue. They had a batch sent out from their supplier just as you describe. I’m sure RS will swap this for you. Pete?

Apologies if this is stating the obvious, but you are feeding it correctly aren't you? The rudder downhaul should come from the forward end of the tiller, back into that cleat.

I have been having some difficulty in getting my rudder to stay fully down when sailing and the down haul line keeps coming loose. After sailing today I realised that the jammer at the rear of the tiller, the one nearest to the rudder, is on the wrong way round. It riveted in place. How easy is it to drill out the rivets and re-rivet the right way round without shattering the carbon tiller? Boat bought from RS in September with a 12 month warranty but hopefully I can fix this myself without bothering them. Don’t want to shatter the tiller though. Any advice appreciated
