Great thanks. I'm mainly sailing at Loch Lomond but I'm thinking about bringing my Musto over to Dalgety Bay, so that would be ideal.

Hi
We've had a few RS Aeros here at ELYC in North Berwick since 2015.
Don't know where you are but you're welcome to come along and have a chat and a look and even a sail if you haven't tried one yet.
e-mail me at [email protected].
Also there is a RS Aero Northern Circuit event here with our East Lothian Annual Regatta on 6th & 7th June.

Hi, we bought 2 RS Aeros in September to sail at Dalgety Bay in Scotland.  One was a trade in to RS and the service from the is excellent, the other an older boat without the mast step upgrade.  If you are near by you are welcome to see them.  The mast step upgrade is purely cosmetic and if you find a boat that doesn’t have it you can get the plastic sleeve from RS.  One of our boats has over deck controls the other doesn’t.
Contacting RS to see if they have any trade in ones available is a route to get one, all checked out and with a warranty for 12 months.  Mine looked pretty much like a brand new boat from them, the older one was bought privately and is also in perfect condition.

Hi,

I am thinking about buying an Aero later in the spring to sail in Scotland. Since there aren’t many boats around here I haven’t been able to have a look in the flesh at any boats for sale, as they have mainly been quite a long way away from me.
So I haven't got a feel for what I should look for in a second hand boat - any particular areas which commonly get damaged or fail and warrant special attention - or what any upgrades look like (apart from the over deck controls which I've seen on the Rooster video).
I have read about the upgrade to the mast step, and I saw some discussion in the forum which stated when these were started to be fitted. But there are no pics to see what the upgraded ones look like compared to the retro fits or to the original ones, so I'm not sure if I could tell them apart.
Also it would be useful to get a feel for what sail numbers correspond to what build year. Thanks!
