Tape didn’t work for me, so I used a hose clamp above the collar, which keeps it from rising. Obviously better to glue it, but you need the right stuff to keep it from working loose.

Hi Derek,
There is a standard RS solution for that having worn loose, contact your local dealer.
In the immediate short term it is possible to add wraps of tape just above the collar to prevent it rising, that will keep you sailing.

I know RS have worked with Selden to ensure a reliably better and more durable bond there.

On my older boat 9rig the mast collar/bearing is no longer restrained and works its way up when sailing. Looks like the mast had a rubber bit that is worn out. Anyone have an innovative way of addressing this issue?
