Sail is likely to be easily combustible. Carbon composite, well they make cars and aircraft out of that. There are several FAA reports on its combustion, the resin will burn, the carbon chars. But if they want you to remove that, then I guess they don't want any cars there either. Andy

Here's an ODD query for you!
I live in a block of apartments with an underground garage, and store my spare 9-Rig at the back of my parking space. A Fire Officer doing an inspection has declared my 9-Rig to be a combustible fire hazard, to be removed.
How combustible (or not), is the carbon fibre lower mast?  And similarly, the sail?  Cliff
