On the way back home with my new aero :) . Trailer perfectly adapted to aero shape. Few adaptations required to adapt trailer to trolley. regards olivier

If you put the boat straight onto the trailer you will likely need to move those gunwale supports closer as the RS Aero is 1.4m wide.
From the top of the gunwale supports to bottom of the hull you need about 35cm clearance.

To remove the supports and go combo style is the neatest option if you have a trolley, if you can make it work. It looks like the trailer is wide enough to accommodate the RS Aero trolley as my (version 1) trolley is 1.48m wide to the very outside of the trolley wheel axel.

- I suggest you take lots of padding (carpet/foam/pipe lagging) in case you need to pad the bottom of the trailer or raise the gunwale supports a few cm.
- A webbing strop or padded rope would give you the option of tying it across the supports to suspend the boat from the supports if there is not enough depth clearance.
- Take lots of string to tie down
- tools to remove the supports if necessary.
- If you have a roof rack take it to have another option.

I am sure it will be possible if you have all those options.

Yes doable with lashings of string. You might even be able to get someone to create a combi needs some metal and welding torch not urgent I would say

Many thanks for the feed back. what about dismounting the support and fixing the trolley on the trailer?

Looks like the gunwale supports are adjustable given the fixings on the axle. If you can loosen the nuts then they should be able to move to fit. However the trolley will need to go somewhere suggest roof rack!

Olivier,
I think you will need to give more info;
Width, length, is it gunwale hung or supported underneath?
A picture may help.

An RS Aero is a little smaller and a lot lighter than a Laser so it is likely that it will work provided it is supported adequately. You may need to add padding to make up for any variance in shape.
