- Sail flatter
- Don't over-sheet
- Don't forget to address the downhaul after the vang to maintain sail shape the length of the mast - experiment between the two; it will vary wind-strength to wind-strength = no substitute for time on the water!
- minimise rudder use
- generate speed out of the turn
- in winds c. 3 - 5 knots, perhaps loosen the outhaul
- Batten tension - Hooking? Flopping? Lack of power at the top of the sail
I am a club sailor and new to the class, no prior with a laser - so these are just thoughts, not a solution obvs. Hopefully, an Aero Master might share some wisdom...
