Peter, yes that’s 2 households meeting with up to 8 people but we can go sailing in open water so long as we are distant and not from just 2 households.  Same as RYA guidelines with only social sailing and staying within you capabilities as no safety boat provision.  Boats ready to go, Scotland is sailing again!

Issy,
I had not included Scotland in that update as I had understood that the 8 people allowed to meet in Scotland was still limited to two households there. Is that not the case?
Sure, the new normal is the interim we find ourselves in and we look forward to returning to normal again in the future. But for now we need to all learn to operate successfully within the new current restrictions and guidelines of our locality.

Scotland should be included here.  We are still here.  Groups of up to 8 people and sailing in with RYA Scotland guidelines (pretty much the same as RYA guidelines).  Interim measures until we return to normal, not new normal.

Embracing the New Normal

Seattle, USA
One of the best kept secrets of the RS Aero Class is the Seattle RS Aero fleet of North America! They have one of the largest and most competent RS Aero fleets in the world, with Olympic Medalists and many Championship winners amongst their ranks.

Great to hear of them getting out for training and informal racing in large numbers over the last few weeks with 23 RS Aeros out last Thursday alongside the Lasers. The clubhouse remains closed but with car park changing and respecting social distancing a fun and constructive session is still manageable.

"It is absolutely invigorating to be out on the water on Thursday nights off Shilshole, and it’s enough to start a little fire of optimism in even the most Covid-weary among us. There have been several signups on the Seattle Fleet Google Groups and the RS Aeros continue to go out for practices. Youngsters, in particular, seem to be energized. KH"

England and Northern Ireland
From Monday 1st June groups of up to 6 people who do not live together may meet up in the England and Northern Ireland, whilst observing 2m social distancing, as restrictions relax little. Stay alert and sail safely.
