50% SAIL VOUCHER RS AERO UK WINTER SERIES
Following Island Barn’s splendid afternoon tea & cake after the UK Spring Champs on Saturday the prize giving included the presentation of the awards from the RS Aero UK Winter Series and UK Winter Championships, supported by Rooster.
A draw for a 50% Sail Voucher, kindly provided by RS Sailing, was made from the 21 sailors who had qualified in the Winter Series, having competed in at least 3 of the 9 events. First out of the hat was Nigel Rolfe, our UK Class Chairman, who finished 4th in the Series this year! Despite having stayed home on Saturday with the prospect of a little breeze, he deserves it. Well done Nigel!
Will Nigel get a new RS Aero 7 or RS Aero 9 sail with the discount? An RS Aero 5 sail may help him to compete in next year's Spring Champs!!!
Here is a photo of Nigel (2427) on the lovely winter day's racing we had at Highcliffe SC, Christchurch Harbour, in January, before he overtook me.
