'The Whiskeytown Regatta in Redding is highly recommended! I know it is a long way for SoCal and Tahoe/Mammoth RS Aero sailors, however, the regatta has always been worth the drive. Very scenic, challenging winds, clear fresh water and normally warm weather.
Hotels nearby in Redding or camping in the campground and or parking lot right by the water edge.
Take an extra day as it is a great location. I guarantee you will see a bold eagle or two when you are there!'
