Skiff Regatta / RS National - Results
The weather was most unkind for the Skiff Regatta, with sailing only possible on the Saturday in light, flukey and shifty conditions.
The RS200 and RS Aero fleet managed to get three races in which was enough for a series. The RS100 fleet of twelve boats had to settle for two races but were delighted to come back the following Saturday to sail another four. The results are below;
RS Aero (Combined Results RS Aero 5 and 7)
1st - Brian Case 6 pts (7) on a countback, 2nd - Ron Ferguson 6pts (7), 3rd - Matthew Geake 8pts (7), 4th - Jessica Case (5), 5th - Aurora N.V. (5), 6th - Cliff Stinson (5), 7th - Nannette McCallum (5).
RS 200 - 1st Gary and Jill McClennan 5pts , 2nd Peter Milne and Lara Blasse 6pts, 3rd - Rob and Fiona Ekins 8pts
RS 100 - 1st Paul Tadich 12 pts, 2nd Rickard Ekberg 14 pts, 3rd - David Clancy 15 pts, 4th David Williamson 16 pts.
The RS 100 racing was very close as can bee seen from the results. Paul Tadich and David Williamson had great results for their first ever RS 100 regatta.
Note: Simon Pluim could not make the second days racing as he was off winning the 'Wind Warrior World Championships'. Details can be found
here.
(Ed - So it is not just the Lymington RS Aero fleet that are distracted by their Model boats!)
