"Many a good days sailing is lost due to a forecast"

Ten keen RS Aeros were undeterred by the forecast of Storm Ewan and with a choice of rigs packed were rewarded by an exciting 'Fresh, but not Frightening' breeze and warm weather at Roadford Lake, near the Devon/Cornwall border

ROADFORD ROCKET - Devon, Sunday 26th Feb

CHARTER RS AERO
Just one remaining! We have about ten RS Aeros currently signed up for the Roadford Rocket. If you fancy a charter RS Aero (£30) for Sunday's Roadford Rocket contact Ben; [email protected] 07814 634892

BREEZE ON!
After a calm winter in the UK we finally look like we have some great breeze for the strong wind enthusiasts this Sunday at Devon's Roadford Rocket! Fear not though, the temps are mild with the SWerly and the daffodils are in full blossom in the Southwest! Roadford's attractive lake on the edge of Dartmoor will remain quite manageable with flat water. The Aeros ability to pick a rig for the conditions, for more fun, participation and safety enables sailors to commit without a dependency on forecast. Big Dan of Salcombe has already but a request in to try out a 7 rig for the first time. I have packed my 5 rig and it is available on loan, let me know if you would like to borrow it...

EARLIER START
Owing to an adverse wind forecast for later in the day, the first start will be at 11.30am (changed from midday) and the briefing will be at 10.30am. This likely puts approximate start times for RS Aero 5 at 11:36 and RS Aero 7 at 11:41.

ROADFORD ROCKET - UK Winter Series 8
Roadford Lake, Devon - Sunday 26th February

Seven RS Aeros are already signed up for next Sunday's 'Rocket', a big day out into Devon at the picturesque Roadford Lake just off the A30.

The 'Rocket' is one mass pursuit race and is well attended both on the 3 event Southwest Winter Series and the RS Aero Winter Series.

This event fundraises, with proceeds going to the Calvert Trust for disabled sailing in North Devon.

The RS Aeros are defending the title won last year in a '7', so come and give it a shot!
