RS Aero UK Winter Championships at The Oxford Blue - 18 Feb 2017
The remaing three events in the RS Aero UK Winter Series are;
- Roadford Rocket - Roadford SC, Devon, Sunday 26th February (SW Series)

47 RS Aeros were greeted by the arrival of Spring at Oxford.
16 year old Liam Willis topped the podium, firing in two top results.
19 of the RS Aeros stayed at Oxford for Sunday's coaching with Hannah Snellgrove and Paul Robson.

I know I shouldn't tempt fate but.... it looks lovely! Medium winds, mild double figure temps and full sunshine.
Anyone still on the fence contemplating entering...now is the time to commit! Just 20 spaces available now before the overall 150 limit is reached. Entry closes Thurs night or before if it maxes out.
TROLLEY STICKERS If any of our 42 entries still need these, please catch me before racing and I will have a few with me. This is an awesome winter investment to get your trolley delivered more quickly and your feet out of that cold water! Just £2 to Class members.
MAINSAIL FLASHES
These stick onto the rear of the window of older (pre Jan 2016 ish) sails for easy identification of 5,7,9s at a glance to help both competitors and race officials. Please catch me before racing if you still need one and I will have a few with me. No charge!

RS Aero UK Winter Championships
This Champs has a trophy up for grabs! This fine replica sailboat is the weight of 2 Aeros and serves the good purpose of a fire poker which is stored within the mast - just in time for the end of winter!
Donated last year by the RS Aero Class manager this trophy has been in the family many years and Mrs B is ready to see the back of it please! Apparently, only one of the trophy or himself is allowed to return home from Oxford on the 18th!
But fret not, the competition is forever hotting up with over 40 RS Aeros and several champions signed up. Also there is only one person in the world of RS Aeroing who has a 100% track record of beating the reigning champion in every Aero race they have met - and SHE is racing at Oxford!

Farmoor - Saturday 18th Feb
41 RS Aeros are now entered which is marvellous!
The RS Aero 7s with 29 signed up is the biggest class entry in a SailJuice Winter Series event ever... incredible!
So there is great racing to be had both in Class and overall on PY within the 150 boat fleet!
Split starts and average lap timing provide for good racing with the RS Aeros sharing a start line with similar boats.
Wrap up warm and come and join the fun!

RS Aero UK Winter Championships, Winter Series Round 7
So there is great racing to be had both in Class and overall on PY in the 150 boat fleet!
- Briefing is 10:00am, three PY races from 11:00, Entry fee £22.
- Very central location for everyone! The starts are split by yardstick, so we start with similar speed boats and singlehanders, which is nice
- Average lap racing is used to produce one results sheet for 150 boats! (and it also minimises waiting time in between races)
OXFORD WINTER TRAINING - Sunday 19th Feb
The day after the Winter Champs there is our monthly RS Aero UK Winter Training session, conveniently at Oxford, so it is possible to make a weekend of it.
RS Aero coaches will be on the water at Saturday's Oxford Blue event watching and assisting before, after and in between races.

Come and join the growing fleet for some great racing at the start of 2017.
35 RS Aeros are already entered, smashing last year's record. The RS Aero 7s with 25 signed up is the biggest class entry in a SailJuice Winter Series event ever - which is incredible!
- Briefing is 10:00am, three PY races from 11:00, Entry fee £22.
